Why I Did It
January already feels like one big reset.
New goals, fresh starts, promises to yourself that this is the year you’ll go to the gym, read the book, finally start that thing. So I figured, if I’m resetting everything else, why not reset my gut while I’m at it?
Let’s be honest, Christmas absolutely batters your body. Between the chocolate, beige food, prosecco, Baileys and random late-night snacks, my healthy eating habits were, well, non-existent. I wasn’t looking for a diet, just a way to give my body a gentle nudge back towards feeling human again.
A juice cleanse felt like the right kind of reset. Not punishment, just a pause. A chance to refocus, clear the fog and hopefully crave something green that isn’t a Christmas tree.
I do occasionally juice at home, but life is busy and washing juicers is not the vibe im going for right now. I wanted something ready-made, local and easy, and that’s when I found Fuel Station in Liverpool. Even better, they were doing 50% off plus an extra 20% at checkout for new customers. Honestly, at that point it felt rude not to try it.
Day 1 – Optimistic Mum Energy

I ordered the 3 Day Lean Juice Cleanse, which includes four juices per day,
●a green one,
●a beetroot one,
●a carrot one,
●and a second green one, also known as the brave one.
They all arrive frozen in plastic bottles, ready to pop straight into the fridge or freezer. No prep, no mess, no thinking, which for a busy mum is basically luxury.
I was genuinely excited when the delivery arrived. There’s something about starting something new that gives you that little boost of motivation, like yes, I am that girl now. I felt proud, hopeful and weirdly organised.
It was all going very well until the rest of the family sat down to sausage, mash, veg and gravy.
Reader, I almost folded 🤤
The smell alone was trying to sabotage my entire wellness era. But I held strong. I sipped my green juice, reminded myself why I was doing this and powered through. For the next few days I’ve decided I’ll sit in the other room at tea time, not because I’m weak, but because gravy is extremely persuasive.
I went to bed feeling good, a little hungry, but proud of myself. Day one done 💪
Day 2 – Surprisingly Fine

Going into day two, I was expecting to be really hungry. I’ve tried water fasts before and only ever made it to the end of day two, so I know fasting can be hard, both physically and mentally.
But honestly, I felt fine. No dramatic hunger, no dizziness, no rage. I stayed well away from the dinner table though, purely to avoid caving and pinching a cheeky chip from David. Self-awareness is growth 😅
Keeping out of sight at tea time definitely helped, and once the evening passed, I realised day two wasn’t nearly as bad as I’d built it up to be in my head.
Day 3 – The Bloat Was Gone
Day three was when I really felt the benefit of the fast. The bloating was completely gone, my stomach was the least bloated it’s been in years, and for the first time in a long while, I actually felt comfortable in my body.
It was probably the easiest day of the three, which surprised me. I even made my lunch for the next day without being tempted to pick at anything, which is unheard of for me.
I genuinely think having juices rather than just water helps massively when fasting. It keeps your energy up and takes the edge off completely. I honestly could have carried on for another day or two, and I might do next time.
Day 4 – Breaking the Fast
Breaking a juice fast is just as important as the fast itself. After three days of liquids, your digestive system has slowed right down, so diving straight back into processed food or heavy meals is a guaranteed way to feel rough.
I broke my fast with the viral carrot and chicken salad, alongside some green salad and avocado. It was light, fresh and full of fibre, protein and healthy fats, exactly what my body needed. Foods like soups, salads and vegetables are ideal at this stage, nothing processed, nothing heavy, just gentle, nourishing food to wake your digestion back up slowly.
I honestly felt great eating it, no bloating, no discomfort, just feeling normal and satisfied, which is exactly how breaking a fast should feel.
As an added bonus, I lost 5.5lbs over the three days. That wasn’t the main goal going into this, but I won’t pretend it didn’t feel good. More than the number on the scale though, I felt lighter, less bloated and far more comfortable in my body, which for me is the real win.

Would I Recommend It?
Yes, 100%.
This wasn’t about punishing my body or chasing quick results, it was about resetting, refocusing and feeling good again. The juices were easy to fit into real life, even with kids, and I felt genuinely better by the end, lighter, less bloated and more in tune with what my body actually needs.
I’m already planning my next one and I can definitely see myself doing a cleanse like this every couple of months as a gentle reset, especially after busy or indulgent periods.
